PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE
Lawyers and notaries are obliged to take out professional liability insurance in accordance with the provisions of the German Federal Code for Lawyers (Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung - BRAO) and the German Federal Code for Notaries (Bundesnotarordnung - BNotO).
The minimum insurance sum for law firms is EUR 2,500,000.00.

The scope of the professional liability insurance is worldwide.
The provision of services by DSC Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH is subject to the "General Terms and Conditions for Mandate and Remuneration Agreements" of DSC Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. These are available at the registered office of DSC Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. In order to determine the scope of services and remuneration, we also conclude mandate and remuneration agreements with our clients, which are negotiated individually with our clients.
AVOIDANCE OF CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
The representation of conflicting interests is prohibited for lawyers due to professional regulations (§ 43a para. 4 BRAO). Before accepting a mandate, therefore, we always check whether there is a conflict of interest.
OUT-OF-COURT RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES
Disputes between lawyers and their clients can be settled out of court upon request at the regional bar association (pursuant to Section 73 para. 2 No. 3 in conjunction with Section 73 para. 5 BRAO) or at the arbitration board (Schlichtungsstelle der Rechtsanwaltschaft) at the Federal Bar Association (Section 191f BRAO), which can be found on the Internet on the homepage of the Federal Bar Association (www.brak.de).
INFORMATION UNDER SECTION 36 OF THE GERMAN CONSUMER DISPUTE RESOLUTION ACT (VERBRAUCHERSTREITBEILEGUNGSGESETZ)
